Information for Ice Blaster Long Weekends

Le Chable is small village below Verbier in the Val de Bagnes, at the western end of the Swiss Valais Alps. It has cafés, restaurants and food shops. To get to Le Chable take the train from Geneva airport to Martigny (direction Brig). In Martigny you change train to Le Chable, and travel time is about 2.5 hours in total.

For full train information and timetable please see: www.sbb.ch

We are based for the weekend at the Hotel de Gietroz, a very pleasant and comfortable hotel in the centre of the village. The hotel is easy to find being a big white building on the main street, just 300m from the train station towards the centre of the village. You will be booked into the hotel for accommodation only on the Thursday night, then for half board on the Friday and Saturday nights. You may also book yourself in for the Sunday night if not flying back that evening.

Return Flight to UK

If flying back on the Sunday evening (which most people do) please note that it is normally possible to get to Geneva Airport by 7pm. It is not usually possible to reach the airport before this time without cutting short the climbing day.

The guide running these weekends will normally be Anders Swensson. He can be contacted in case of any last-minute questions or problems via his Swiss telephone numbers:
0041 277 762 880 (landline); +41 794 091 454 (mobile)
