Instructional & Guided Climbing
Looking for something more bespoke? Whether you’re planning an adventure for a group of friends or students, or simply need dates that fit around your plans, we can create a tailored mountain experience built around your goals and ambitions.
Not every adventure fits neatly into a fixed programme date. ISM can help you create a bespoke climbing or mountaineering week built entirely around your goals, experience and ambitions.
Whether you are looking to arrange an ice climbing trip with friends, develop specific technical skills, climb classic icefalls, attempt a particular route or simply explore a new mountain region with an expert guide, we can design a programme to suit you.
Your week can be based around one of our existing ice climbing courses on alternative dates, or we can create something completely tailored—from focused instruction and skills development through to guided climbing objectives and more adventurous mountain experiences.
With our knowledge of the Alps, Canada and other world-class climbing destinations, we’ll help you choose the right venue, objectives and timing to make the most of the conditions and create a truly memorable ice climbing adventure.

Perhaps you are a small group of friends looking for dates that fit around your plans, a club or university group wanting something tailored to your experience, or you have a specific objective that isn’t covered by our advertised programmes. We can help design a week or expedition that matches your ambitions, ability and timescale.
Over the years, we have worked with schools, colleges, universities and friendship groups to create unforgettable mountain experiences, from introductory skills courses through to ambitious climbing and mountaineering objectives.
If you are looking beyond the Alps and dreaming of a bigger adventure, we can also help with ideas, planning and logistics to create a completely customised climbing or mountaineering trip anywhere in the world.
Whatever your goal, speak to the ISM office and we’ll help turn your ideas into an exceptional mountain experience.
